  • Fawn Zhao

    Chef and Chief Executive Officer
    Growing up in Beijing, Fawn found inspiration in watching her father manage a successful resort and restaurant. Fueled by his passion and dedication, she moved to Kansas in 1999, earned a business degree from Washburn University, and opened her first restaurant in 2003.

    After selling the business in 2009, Fawn ventured to Dallas—where she spent time at Zenna Thai and Sushi Axiom. As a founder of Jia Modern Chinese in Highland Park and Jia Asian Bistro in Lakewood, she earned a loyal following with her faithful preparations and effervescent hospitality. 

    Feng Shui is the realization of Fawn's vision to offer traditional dishes from three distinct cultures in a warm, familial atmosphere.

  • Alan Ho

    Chef and General Manager
    Alan has been in the restaurant and bar business since the age of 16. Upon moving to Dallas from Taiwan in 1996, Alan worked his way into the Manager position at Sakura Japanese restaurant. He was soon promoted to Restaurant Business Director for a group that included Chaucer’s Sushi & Bar and Master Grill Brazilian Steakhouse.

    In just two years managing operations for Zenna Thai & Sushi, Alan increased their business by 60%. During this time, he also began working with Fawn Zhao—and in 2019 and 2022 they co-founded Jia Modern Chinese in Highland Park and Jia Asian Bistro in Lakewood.

    Alan sees Feng Shui as the ultimate expression of a 38-year career defined by bold innovation and a tireless work ethic.
